Social Marketing for Hotel Industry in Australia †Free Samples

Question: Discuss about the Advantages and disadvantages for Social Marketing for Hotel Industry in Australia. Answer: Introduction and scope of the journal: This journal is intended to describe a reflection based on the assessment tasks that has been conducted during the 12weeks teaching period. The reflective report mainly refers to the piece of the writing that can summarize the critical reflection of any individual based on any particular subject. Reflective writing is important for the improvement of the analytical skills of the researcher. This is because; it requires expressing the thinking process along with the way of thinking (Mackey and Gass, 2015). This reflective writing can help me to acknowledge that how my thought can be shaped by my preconceived ideas as well as assumptions. This journal can help to understand the complete procedures to conduct any research more effectively. At the end of the 12 weeks, I have got huge knowledge regarding the secondary and primary data collection process along with the problem that can be generated during the data collection process of this research. After successful completion of the 12 week teaching period, I have gain knowledge regarding different approach, philosophy, strategy and design of the research. Reflective analysis: In the first few weeks, I have understood the importance of the social media marketing in the hospitality sector. Then I have generated some questions based on which the research needs to be conducted. In these first several weeks, I have gathered knowledge regarding different research paradigm based on which any research can be conducted. In the first week, I have gained detailed analysis regarding the importance of the social media marketing on the hotel. I have observed that social media marketing participates in the WOM marketing that either positively or negatively affects any hospitality based organization (Noor, 2011). In the second week, I have developed the set of questions based upon which the research needs to be conducted. In this week, I have gained some cognitive ability that helped me a lot to develop the questions for the research. This is because; setting of questions of any research mainly required the analyzing skills. As stated by Kothari (2014), cognitive skills of any person mainly include the analyzing, evaluating, synthesizing, and critical thinking skills. In the next week, I have conducted a detailed analysis regarding the research methodology. I have search different scholarly article for understanding the research methodology. In this week, I have gained huge knowledge base regarding the research methodology. A brief knowledge regarding the research methodology has helped me to increase my personal qualities to conduct any research with effectiveness (Scandura, T.A. and Williams, E.A., 2010). In the fourth week, I have developed my skills on the research methodologies by providing more emphasis on the qualitative and the quantitative research. This week has helped me a lot to set the direction of the research. Therefore, from the week I have gained the knowledge to conduct a successful startup of the research. I have gained the knowledge that there are mainly two different types of research such as quantitative research and the quali tative research. According to Reigeluth and Frick (2012), quantitative methods mainly emphasize on the objective measurements and the collection of the mathematical, statistical as well as numerical data through the questionnaires, surveys, and data manipulation through the computational techniques. On the other hand, qualitative research is mainly exploratory research in nature that is used to gain the clear understanding regarding the opinions, reasons and the motivations (Kumar and Phrommathed, 2015). Therefore, in order to collect the secondary research, I have decided to utilize the qualitative research because it helps me to understand the problem regarding the research and develops different ideas by which the problem can be resolved. In the fifth week, I have developed a clear idea regarding the research approach. According to Camic et al. (2013), two different types of research approaches are there such as deductive research approach and inductive research approach. Among t hese two types of research approach, I have decided that I will utilize the deductive research approach. According to Merriam (2014), deductive research approach is the logical procedures where the conclusions are based on the concordance of the multiple premises that are assumed as true. Getting an effective knowledge regarding the deductive research approach has helped me to gain a clear knowledge regarding the orientation of the research such as top down or bottom up approach. In the sixth week, I have conducted a detailed analysis regarding the research strategy that helped me to collect data from the sample respondents. In the last few weeks, I have conducted a secondary analysis based on the impacts of the social media marketing in the hotel industry. In the assessment 1, I have mainly described advantages and disadvantages social media marketing and for this reason, I have collected secondary information. For effectively describe the title of the research, I have first described a brief introduction that mainly describes the overall scenario and then I have described the benefits and challenges of the social media marketing. At the end of this research, I have provided a clear conclusion that concludes the overall facts. As stated by Marczyk et al. (2015), secondary analysis refers to the re-analysis of either the quantitative or qualitative data that are already collected in the previous study by a research who intended to address any new research question. As secondary information is already published so for the collection of data, different published journals are required (Murry and Hammons, 20 13). For the collection of the secondary data, I have mainly selected different published journals, books, newspaper article, and WebPages and collect data from those sources. In the seventh week, I have mainly gained a clear understanding regarding the problem statement of the research. Along with that, I have gained a brief overview regarding the research topic through the internet search. In the eighth week, I have made a plan to decide the type of data that are needed to be collected to satisfy the research aim. In this week I have gained a detailed knowledge regarding different types of data such as primary data and the secondary data. In the ninth week, I have decided the sources from which I can gather the data for this research. This week helped me to understand the sources from which the data can be collected. This week helps me to improve my capability to find any topic over the internet. In the tenth week, I have decided to collect the secondary data for the research. Dur ing the collection of the secondary data, I have gained knowledges regarding the qualitative and the quantitative data sets. It is seen that secondary analysis mainly involves the utilization of the multiple or single qualitative datasets along with the mixed quantitative as well as the qualitative data sets (Peffers et al. 2013). I have understood that including both the qualitative and quantitative data can help any research to increase its effectiveness so I have included these data on the research. In the tenth week, I have learned a lot about the ethical issues that any researcher can face during the collection of the secondary data. According to Perry (2011), the utilization of the data from the research of another author can create ethical issues. In the eleventh week, I have analyzed those data with effectiveness so that I can achieve an in-depth knowledge regarding the topic of the research. This week helped me a lot to increase my presentation skills along with the analysi s skills. In the twelfth week, I have gathered all of the analyzed data and prepared a final document. For the conduction of the first assessment tasks, I have faced some problems such as finding the most appropriate journal that can help me to understand the research topic so easily. The secondary data are generally collected from the published sources so that there is huge possibility that the sources can get to be obsolete in nature. The main problem that I have faced for completing the assessment 1 is mainly due to the time and money. Due to the money constraint, I have faced difficulties to access all of the books that need to buy. On the other hand, the time constraint has created an obstruction for generating in-depth analysis regarding the research topic. Conclusions: From the above discussion, it can be clearly concluded that in order to conduct a successful research, the selection of the proper research methodology is important. So many research strategies, approaches, designs are there that can help any research to conduct with effectiveness but only a successfully and carefully selected research paradigm can provide hundred percent accuracy to any research. Conduction of the research is not so easy; this is because in every step of the research effective level of skills is required. Therefore, the successful conduction of the research project has helped me a lot to gather huge knowledge. During the conduction of the research, I have developed a clear understanding regarding the type of the research, approach, and strategy of the research. This research provides me an insight that which strategy, approach or type I should select to achieve success. This knowledge not only helped me to conduct this research but I expect that this learning can he lp me to gain success in my upcoming research project.
